CAN recently held its quarterly meeting with James Ealey from the Northern Housing Consortium (NHC) and discussed a number of current issues, including key live concerns for the region’s Housing Associations, which include damp and mould, and the commitment to new builds.
The retrofit agenda was also discussed including funding and accreditations and how the regional industry can ready itself to deliver the work.
CAN and the NHC – a not-for-profit organisation whose members own or manage 9 out of 10 socially rented housing providers in the North – will continue to liaise and co-operate on issues affecting both regional contractors and NHC members.
CAN will continue to promote the benefits of NHC members working with regional companies.
