Positive Council meeting addresses industry challenges

CAN chair Ken Parkin and board member Stuart Miller met with Richard  Caroll, Chief Procurement Officer of Durham County Council recently and had a very informative and wide-ranging discussion.

CAN appreciates the time taken by Richard and the openness of the discussion.

As contractors, it is great to understand the challenges faced in the public sector particularly relating to procurement.

We hope we also provided good feedback from the regional industry to Richard and we will continue to collaborate on key issues to increase the understanding of all parties for the benefit of the region.

We very much look forward to our next meeting in June.
